After the second time I made the same mistake I have now learned the lesson!

It’s important to make the exact same mistake twice just to be absolutely sure it’s actually not a one- time thing…

Before Ibiza I went with Julie, Jen and Nick to Riccione for the weekend as it was a huge event there called ‘La notte rosa’ (the pink night, which is actually a pink week and a lot of people). When we arrived on Friday we went out and had some drinks by the beach, got a taxi and went home- all good!

On Saturday we just chilled all day by the beach and our thought was to grab a cab back home in the evening again… well.. that didn’t happen…

After trying to call for a cab for about 45 minutes and walking around to see if we could find one, we accepted defeat in the realization that 10 000 other people needed one too, to get to the clubs around Riccione (which apparently are a few and take about 4000 ppl each).

So we had to WALK back home, which is a 45 minute walk from the beach… at night… and me in heels …

Well, I thought- I shall never make that mistake again (normally we bike, which takes about 10/15 minutes, but I didn’t have bikes for everyone)…

Fast forward to the weekend after Ibiza and my mom and stepdad were visiting- so nice that they came down to see me!

I though- well, La notte rosa (the event two weekends before) is a special event so surely we will get taxis on Saturday this time around…

You guessed it- we didn’t – so there we were- walking again for 45 minutes, me in heels…

Thank god they’re all fantastic sports and actually walked with me- I mean they could’ve just waited on the beach until sunrise…

Was great to have visitors in Riccione, but I need to figure out a way to transport people on Saturdays- maybe one of those bike- carriers is something to think about investing in…

Good times though πŸ˜‰

First weekend, as one does- food and good people!

Us walking, still smiling around 2 AM (a bit blurry, but still)…

Second weekend, still happy people- obliviously unaware of what is to come…

Please don’t let this discourage you to come with me to Riccione, I promise I will upgrade my transport methods!

Some ideas to start off with, I am leaning towards that German beer- bike thingy!
